But first, the basics!

The Event Management System (EMS), also known as MyRooms or the online room scheduling system, allows the HLS community to book rooms, order services, and publicize events on the HLS calendar. To reserve a room through the EMS system, visit the link above and login with your Harvard Key.
There are two private nursing rooms on the HLS campus, one in WCC B003 and one in Areeda 121. The University has over 45 nursing rooms campus-wide. Lockers
Harvard Law School has a number of lockers lining the walls in the basement corridors that connect the main buildings on campus as well as in several Wasserstein Hall hallways.
Lockers are assigned by DOS-CEEB through the Locker Request Form to law school students living off of HLS campus proper (including students who live in North Hall, 1637 Mass Ave, 3/5 Mellen St.) Students who live in law school dormitories on the HLS campus proper – specifically, Hastings Hall and Gropius Complex – are not eligible for lockers.
Lockers must be cleaned out by Sunday, May 17, 2027 or possessions will be forfeited.
Request a Locker
Students may request a new locker annually through the 2026-2027 Locker Request Form, which asks for location and locker-mate preferences. Please note the following:
Space is limited and students are not guaranteed to receive their top choice, however, all reasonable efforts will be made to align locker assignments with preferences.
To the extent possible, upper-level students will be given preference when assigning lockers.
All HLS lockers are two-person lockers, except for those in Wasserstein Hall (2nd Floor and Basement). Any student assigned to a non-Wasserstein Hall locker may be assigned a locker-mate depending on capacity and location demand.
Locker assignments do not roll over from year to year.
If you require a locker in a specific location due to a documented disability, do not complete the Locker Request Form. Please contact HLS Accessibility Services at accessibility@law.harvard.edu.
If you require a locker in a specific location due to religious accommodations (e.g., prayer mat storage), do not complete the Locker Request Form. Please contact DOS-CEEB at dosceeb@law.harvard.edu.
In the Request Form:
Students must rank all locker locations in order of preference. Students may select a locker-mate through the Locker Request Form. By selecting a locker-mate, students opt into a two-person locker and are not eligible to receive a one-person locker in Wasserstein Hall (2nd Floor and Basement). To guarantee a locker-mate match, students and their locker-mate must BOTH complete the Locker Request Form and select each other as locker-mates.
DOS-CEEB will share locker assignments, including locker number, combination, and locker mate information via email as noted below:
Deadlines and Assignment Dates:
Wave 1: LLM Orientation
LLMs who complete the Locker Request Form by 11:59pm ET on Wednesday, August 12 will receive their locker assignment via email on Thursday, August 13.
Wave 2: Start of Academic Year
Students who complete the Locker Request Form by 11:59pm ET on Monday, August 24 will receive their locker assignment via email the week of Monday, August 24.
Rolling Wave: Throughout the Academic Year
After Monday, August 24, students may request a locker at any time during the academic year. Students who submit the Locker Request Form after the Wave 2 deadline will receive their locker assignment via email within 1-3 business days of form submission.
The Locker Request Form will close on Wednesday, April 28, 2027.
Residential Life
Living on campus has tremendous benefits, one of which is access to Resident Advisors (RAs). HLS RAs are overseen by the Dean of Students and Office of Community Engagement, Equity, and Belonging (DOS-CEEB) and are a valuable and irreplaceable part of our Housing and Residence Life Program. Our Resident Advisors are student leaders, community developers, maintenance reporters, and an all-around “go-to” person in your building or complex.
The oldest collegiate foodservice in America, Harvard University Dining Services (HUDS) advances the mission of Harvard University through its multiple food and beverage venues on campus. HUDS nourishes and supports the students, faculty, staff and guests of Harvard by creating experiences that foster friendship, encourage learning, and cultivate community.
Dining locations
HLS offers two venues to meet the community’s dining needs (during the academic year):
The Harkness Dining Room is your dining destination for the heard of the day on the Harvard Law School campus, here with hearty and nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack options, as well as a full-service espresso bar.
The Pub Grill is available for afternoon snacks and dinner Monday through Thursday.
For hours of operation and more details, please visit the HLS HUDS webpage.
Menus, dietary needs, and food allergies
The HUDS website is a valuable resource for all things food at HLS!
Below are a few selected resources to get you started.
It’s important to stay safe both on and off campus. At HLS, there are many different avenues for support should you ever find yourself in need of help.
Emergency Resources
Life-Threatening Emergency:
Call 617-495-1212 to reach HUPD. While you can also dial 911, HUPD is best equipped to direct EMS through campus and buildings.
Urgent Care:
HUHS Urgent Care can assist with non-life-threatening health emergencies. You can also call HUPD to request a medical transport and do not need to share the reason you need to seek medical attention.
Title IX protects you from sexual or gender-based harassment. Your HLS Title IX Resource Coordinators can assist in finding options for you to feel empowered to raise concerns, ask for help, or learn about your options before making any decisions.
HLS CAMHS offers counseling, therapy, evaluations, and guidance on concerns interfering with work or relationships, including anxiety, depression, stress, crisis management, transitional issues, grief, and eating, substance, sexual, or relationship concerns.
If you have been a victim of stalking, harassment, sexual assault, rape, relationship abuse or violence, hate crimes, identity theft, or scams targeting international affiliates, HUPD has specially trained officers to guide you through a step-by-step process of exploring all available options.
