Arnaaz Nizami Ameer

She/her

Arnaaz is a third-year S.J.D. candidate from India. She loves to write poetry and fiction, perform at open mics across Cambridge, host dinners for friends, learn new languages, and collect tea and coffee from around the world. She researches and writes on the laws of war and the intersection of international law and private law on remedies. Before HLS, she lived across Delhi, Beijing, and Geneva, working at international organizations and in non-profit advocacy, consulting, and government. Reach out to Arnaaz if you want to discuss creative writing projects, share new recipes, or talk about the fate of the world and our place in it while sampling her tea/coffee collection!

Anika Gururaj is a 3L at Harvard Law School. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Communications from the Annenberg School for Communication and a concentration in Activism and Advocacy through the College of Arts & Sciences. Anika came straight through to law school, where she participated in the Harvard Mediation Program, and serves as a Team Leader for the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project. In her free time, Anika enjoys exploring the Boston food scene and would welcome any residents to join her on an outing!

Iqra is a sixth-year S.J.D. Candidate from Pakistan. She loves coffee (pictured), lifting weights, painting, and baking. Her research interests include Family Law, Gender and the Law, and International Human Rights. In the Summer of 2024, she taught “Sexuality, Gender and the Law” at Northeastern University School of Law. She loves organizing events and get-togethers, so if you have ideas do let her know!

Ames Hall

William is a 3L from Northridge, California. Before law school, he worked on investment screening policies at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, France. He graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and East Asian Studies and received a master’s degree from the Paris Institute of Political Studies in International Governance and Diplomacy as the 2022 laureate of the Michel David-Weill Scholarship. He is interested in U.S. foreign relations in East Asia and international trade law. In his free time, he loves traveling, playing tennis and squash, watching stand-up comedy, and writing fiction.
