3_20_12Clarksdale_NLatil017-croppedHarvard Law School has a diverse set of clinical legal educational programs, offering students the opportunity to represent clients in actual cases under the supervision of faculty and staff attorneys. Nearly 75% of each class participates in clinical work before graduating. Many students involved themselves in more than one clinical resulting in 1,000 clinical placements in nearly 30 areas of the law. HLS has more clinical opportunities than any law school in the world.

Our focus is on individual attention and providing students with the mentorship and supervision necessary to make them outstanding attorneys before they even graduate from law school. To facilitate this effort HLS has dozens of attorney-supervisors and faculty.

The Law School’s clinical offerings include many courses with required clinical components and others where clinical work is optional. Placements are available both at Harvard Law School clinics and off-campus through an active Clinical Externship Program.

For more information please see HLS Clinics at a Glance and visit the Office of Clinical and Pro-Bono Programs.
