Summer Institute on Law and AI: Hosted by the Institute for Law & AI (LawAI), the Summer Institute on Law and AI aims to equip current and future legal scholars with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to ensure that advances in artificial intelligence are beneficial and safe for everyone. The Summer Institute on Law and AI will feature presentations, fireside chats and Q&As with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers on topics ranging from fundamental challenges in applying legal analysis to the rapidly evolving landscape of AI development and regulation to more applied questions around AI liability and insurance law, the regulation of compute, and the role of existing institutions and procedures. 2. Cambridge (UK) Forum on Law and AI: Hosted by the Institute for Law & AI (LawAI), the Cambridge Forum on Law and AI aims to equip current and future legal scholars with the knowledge, tools, and networks they need to build careers in legal research, analysis, and policymaking to address challenges in the law of artificial intelligence that have implications for security, welfare, and the rule of law. The Forum will have a particular focus on general-purpose AI models with systemic risk under EU law, while also covering fundamental principles of EU law and the challenges of applying legal analysis to AI’s rapidly evolving landscape of risks and opportunities (e.g., AI agents).
