Federal agencies could see staff increases in 2011

The publication Government Executive recently came out with an article forecasting federal agency employment in 2011.

Where are they expecting to hire?
Department of Homeland Security
Pentagon
Department of Justice
Health and Human Services – specifically, the FDA

Where are they expecting a decrease in workforce?
Commerce Department (much of the decrease can be attributed to the 2010 Census coming to a close)
Department of Agriculture
Department of the Interior

This article doesn’t show the full picture, but offers a glimpse into what could happen to some federal agencies in 2011. We might not know the full picture of federal employment well into 2010.
