Reporting Time & Absences in PeopleSoft

Hourly Employees

All hourly, overtime-eligible [non-exempt] Harvard employees must report the time and absences they work each week in PeopleSoft.  If you fail to enter hours, there is a potential risk of not being paid your full wages in a timely manner.  Hourly employees will only be able to enter their time and absences for the current week and future weeks.

If you are an hourly, overtime-eligible employee, you will receive an email Thursdays at 10 a.m. reminding you to complete your timesheet. If you don’t report your time by Friday at 10 a.m., you’ll receive another email reminder to do so.  Additionally, in weeks around holidays, deadlines for time entry may be impacted.  When this happens, you will receive an email from HLS HR.

Salaried Employees

All salaried [exempt] Harvard employees are required to enter their absences in PeopleSoft within the current month or future months.  Salaried employees are only required to enter absences (for example sick time or vacation time) and not time worked.
