Senator Eric P. Lesser J.D. ’15, the youngest member of the Massachusetts Senate, invites application to intern with him in his Massachusetts State House Office during the fall and spring semesters. Students work directly Senator Lesser and his Legislative Director & Legal Counsel on the various legislative and policy initiatives of Senator Lesser. They receive hands-on experience in areas such as legislative drafting, policy research and analysis, legal research and analysis, and lawmaking. Students also become familiar with the inner-workings of the Massachusetts Legislature, and how it works with the other branches of government to enact comprehensive, often first in the nation, policies.

When placement is finalized, students will then need to submit an independent clinical application in accordance with the guidelines described on the Office of Clinical and Pro Bono Programs website. Students will receive independent clinical credit once they have been enrolled by OCP.
