Morgan Franklin promoted to Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program

The Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program (HNMCP) is pleased to announce the promotion of Morgan Franklin.

Franklin serves as a Lecturer on Law in the school’s flagship Negotiation Workshop and as a Clinical Instructor with HNMCP, where her main work will focus on supervising current and recruiting new clinical projects. Morgan most recently served as the Clinical Fellow at HNMCP.

Her interest in dispute resolution and negotiation stems from an interest in cognitive and behavioral science paired with her belief in the field’s importance in addressing societal challenges. Since her involvement with negotiation theory as a student she’s been able to experience how transformative gaining the skill set taught by the clinic can be, both professionally and personally.

Morgan holds a B.A. in Political Economy, magna cum laude, from Tulane University and is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2017 and is a member of the Maryland Bar. As a law student she was fortunate to take classes related to problem solving in various contexts, from administrative organizations to direct services.

After law school Morgan completed a fellowship in Baltimore that focused on health policy at the local level and then worked in Washington, D.C. on a team that sought to aid the path to effective reentry for the recently incarcerated by convening groups with divergent views and facilitating dialogue between them to identify workable policy solutions. She then returned to HNMCP and served as Clinical Fellow before shifting into her current role.

“I am so excited and grateful to be stepping into a new role at HNMCP,” says Morgan. “Over the last year I have learned so much from my colleagues and our students about what’s possible when dedicated, compassionate and thoughtful people are fully engaged in meaningful work. I am so glad to be able to continue learning and to contribute to the development of our students and more broadly to the field of dispute resolution as a Clinical Instructor.”

Morgan holds a B.A. in Political Economy, magna cum laude, from Tulane University and received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2017. She is a member of the Maryland Bar.
