Bonnie Docherty, Lecturer in the International Human Rights Clinic, is seeking 1L or 2L applicants for paid Research Assistant positions to help with her work on humanitarian disarmament and protecting civilians in armed conflict.

Research Assistants will perform a variety of tasks, including writing monthly update blogs and, if interested, other pieces, for publication on the Humanitarian Disarmament website (humanitariandisarmament.org), a project of the International Human Rights Clinic’s Armed Conflict and Civilian Protection Initiative. RAs will also prepare monthly newsletters and maintain the website, and will be provided opportunities to assist with various research projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and eager to explore new topics.

The candidate should be able to transition into the position this spring and ideally remain in it through their 3L year. Prior knowledge and interest in disarmament and public international law-related topics is preferred, but interest even without expertise is welcome.

If you are interested, please send a resume and a brief (one paragraph) statement of interest to bdocherty@law.harvard.edu, by Tuesday, February 20 with the subject heading ACCPI RA Application.
