Professor Fofana is seeking motivated Research Assistants to join the team for the spring semester and into the summer. The work will focus on projects related to the history of international law and international relations in West Africa and the South China Sea.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe and organize photos of archival documents
  • Analyze judicial decisions, scholarly articles, and monographs
  • Assist with compiling and organizing an international case law and treaty collection

Qualifications:

  • Strong research and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Interest in history and international relations (a plus!)

Preferred Skills:

Advanced reading knowledge in any of the following languages: French, Chinese (including documentary Chinese or wen yan wen), Japanese, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch
