The Next Frontier of Neuroscience and Juvenile Justice

In the fifteen years since the United States Supreme Court referred to developmental science in ruling the death penalty unconstitutional for juveniles in Roper v. Simmons, state and federal courts have seen a wave of neuroscience-informed juvenile justice litigation. But the full potential of neuroscience in juvenile justice has yet to be reached. This panel will discuss scientific and legal developments, and the new innovations they suggest at the intersection of neuroscience and juvenile justice.

Admitted Students Weekend – Volunteers Needed!

Help J.D. Admissions welcome future HLS students to campus! We’re looking for volunteers to help with the 2020 Admitted Students Weekends. Volunteer shifts take place from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM on March 6 and April 17. Volunteers will help to direct admitted students to faculty lunches across campus. Sign up by February 18!

HLS will be collecting Toys for Tots donations at the HLS Holiday Celebration on December 19. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy, in the $10 and up price range to donate. Toys for Tots is in particular need of toys for the age ranges of 0-2 years old and 9-12 years old. Donation boxes will be located in the Milstein East lobby during the party.
