OPIA announces the following deadlines for internally administered fellowships for which 3Ls and alumni are eligible to apply. Mark your calendar and make an appointment to speak with an OPIA adviser!

Early Decision Fellowships
Rolling. Applications due one month before final bar filing deadline.
This program awards funding to 3Ls and judicial clerks who are pursuing positions in states whose final bar deadline is before early May and who obtain a host organization that promises permanent employment at the end of the fellowship year and offers training to their fellows.

David A. Grossman Fund Fellowship
January 5, 2024, 5:00 pm
The DAG Fund awards a $55,000 fellowship to one HLS student or alum currently on a judicial clerkship who demonstrates exceptional promise as a public interest attorney to work at an existing nonprofit using a community-based lawyering model.

Public Service Venture Fund Seed Grant
January 12, 2024, 5:00 pm
PSVF Seed Grants provide funding for any project that is in an early stage, innovative, sustainable, and furthers social justice.

Public Service Venture Fund Organization-Based Fellowships

PSVF Organization-Based Fellowships are intended to help launch students’ and judicial clerks’ public interest careers at the public service organization of their choice that otherwise is not hiring at the entry-level.

Heyman Post-Grad Fellowship
March 6, 2024, 5:00 pm
The Heyman Fellowship Program was established to encourage recent HLS graduates to pursue careers in federal government. Current 3Ls and graduates from the classes of 2021, 2022, and 2023 are eligible to apply.
