Clerkship Opportunity in Houston 2019-2020

Judge Keith Ellison, U.S. District Court Judge in Houston, Texas has a clerkship opening for the 2019-2020 term. The new clerkship position was granted because of a series of high-profile and complex cases involving conditions in Texas state prisons. The new clerk may work on these cases, and should note any relevant experience in civil rights and/or prisoner rights litigation. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, transcript, three references and a writing sample via OSCAR or to arturo_rivera@txs.uscourts.gov. Letters of recommendation are not required. Judge Ellison can contact those listed as references.
