On Saturday, March 25, the Harvard Law School LL.M. Class of 2023 welcomed the Harvard community to the International Party, a joyful celebration featuring food, music, games, and performances from around the world. Students, faculty, staff, family, and friends visited tables with cultural displays and culinary delicacies from 50 countries and regions and enjoyed performances including a Māori welcome song, and a selection of melodies from Mexico, Ireland, and Bulgaria.

Attendees appreciated traditional Chinese music played on an erhu, and joined in with dances representing Palestine, Pakistan, Turkey, South/West Africa, and Bollywood. The night even featured a stand-up comedy routine from Sri Lanka, and a U.S. vs. Canada knee hockey showdown. The party closed with a group performance of the original LL.M. Class of 2023 song, “We’re from everywhere.”

The LL.M. Class of 2023, spending this academic year pursuing a Master of Laws degree, includes 184 students representing 63 countries and jurisdictions, from Afghanistan to Vietnam.
