Ruby will work with Human Rights First advocating for asylum seekers with disabilities through research, advocacy, representation, and strategic litigation. Before law school, Ruby worked in immigration advocacy and policy and also directly with refugee communities. During her time at HLS, Ruby participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic, served as an editor with the Harvard Civil Rights‐Civil Liberties Law Review, and worked as a research assistant on issues of solitary confinement in immigration detention. Ruby spent her law school summers at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and the Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center’s Immigration Detention Accountability Project. She received her undergraduate degree in History from Washington University in St. Louis.
