Ben Gunning will be joining the Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Center in Washington, D.C., where he will engage in appellate litigation working to expand access to courts for incarcerated individuals. During law school, Ben was a clinical student in the Capital Punishment Clinic and the Criminal Justice Institute. He was also a Legal Resource Manager for the Prison Legal Assistance Project, a student attorney in the Street Justice Coalition, and a Technology Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. During his summers, Ben worked at the MacArthur Justice Center and in the Appellate Division of the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C. After law school, Ben served as a law clerk to the Honorable Catharine F. Easterly on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the Honorable Myron H. Thompson on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Ben holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Honors Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame.
