Public interest-minded students contemplating whether to pursue a clerkship after graduation are encouraged to attend this panel discussion at which public interest alumni who have clerked will talk about their experiences. The discussion will explore how a clerkship can be beneficial, the differences among various types of clerkships, and whether a clerkship might, or might not, be necessary for the kind of public interest work you hope to pursue. Frederick Fogel serves as General Counsel, overseeing Baupost’s legal, compliance and transaction structuring teams, and is also a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Previously, Fred was the General Counsel at Silver Point Capital, a Connecticut-based investment adviser focused on credit and special situations. From 2002-2004, he was a Managing Director and General Counsel at Ziff Brothers Investments, where he was responsible for all of the firm’s legal affairs.
