    This list should also help you assess whether you have taken the all of the necessary steps to make sure your student account and financial aid are in place for registration.

    • July 25 – Your First Student Account Notice will be sent
    • July 25 – First day you can sign up for direct deposit within your student account in order to receive cash advances.
    • July 31 – Deadline for waiving any health insurance plan you do not need/want – *NOTE ACTION IS REQUIRED at the University Health Services site.  Know the financial aid policy regarding waived health insurance
    • August 1 – Cutoff deadline for having any student loan application for which you have applied be listed on your next student account notice (August 10) and included in the calculation of any early books and supplies allowance cash advance (if eligible)
    • August 10 – Your Second and Final Student Account Notice for fall registration
    • August 10 – Deadline to have direct deposit set up within your student account in order to receive an early books and supplies advance (if eligible)
    • August 15 – Deadline to have your student account notice paid with financial aid or payment
    • August 15 – Date your books and supplies allowance early cash advance will be released to you (if eligible and you have setup direct deposit). Note: We are releasing the entire academic year amount ($1375) for books and supplies included in your student budget, not just the fall semester portion
    • August 26 – Deadline to have completed the registration process and be cleared by the HLS Admissions Office to attend HLS
    • August 26 – Cutoff deadline for having any student loan application for which you have applied be included in the calculation of your fall semester cash advance
    • August 27 – Deadline to have direct deposit set up within your student account in order to receive a fall semester cash advance directly to your bank account. If you do not set up direct deposit your advance will be mailed to the local address you have on file with the HLS Registrar. International students who do not yet have a US bank, should be sure to update their local address promptly.
    • August 30 – Date you receive your fall semester cash advance (if qualified)

    • August 26 – Deadline to have completed the registration process including HELIOS “check-in” process in order receive your cash advance
    • August 26 – Cutoff deadline for having any student loan application for which you have applied be included in the calculation of your fall semester cash advance
    • August 27 – Deadline to have direct deposit set up (or updated, if necessary) within your student account in order to receive a fall semester cash advance directly to your bank account. If you do not set up direct deposit your advance will be mailed to the local address you have on file with the HLS Registrar.
    • August 30 – Date you receive your fall semester cash advance (if qualified)
