Patch Management is used to push Windows updates to HLS owned computers. Keeping computers up to date is important, as this can prevent security and operational failures.

Available To

Faculty, Staff, Kiosk and Lab machines

Standard Features

Users will have a very passive role in patch management. After patches have been pushed by ITS, the HLS-owned computer will automatically install the patches and then request a reboot from the user.

User Requirements

  • Computer must be connected to the HLS wired network
  • Users will be prompted to reboot via pop-up bubble from the taskbar
