Systems Maintenance Notification: Tuesday, June 6th, between 10pm and 6am
Dear Members of the HLS Community,
This is a reminder that ITS will be performing system maintenance from 10pm on June 6 until 6am on June 7th.

Harvard VoIP online phone portal maintenance: Thursday, May 4th, 4pm-10pm
Dear HLS Faculty and Staff,
The Harvard VoIP online phone portal, will be unavailable from 4pm-10pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023. There will be no interruption to Harvard phone or Jabber service during the maintenance.

Harvard VoIP Phone Maintenance April 19, 2023 from 3:45 PM to 4:15 PM
Dear HLS Faculty and Staff,
The Harvard online phone portal will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 3:45 PM to 4:15 PM as Verizon performs a scheduled software upgrade. The upgrade will not result in application features or setting changes, and there will be no interruption to VoIP phone or Jabber service during the maintenance.

Harvard VoIP Phone Maintenance March 13, 2023 from 11:00PM – 5:00AM
Dear HLS Faculty and Staff,
From 11:00PM, Monday, March 13 until 5:00AM, Tuesday, March 14, Verizon will be performing maintenance that will affect all Harvard VoIP phone numbers.
Please be aware of the following impacts during the maintenance window:
- There will be several 5 to 10-minute windows when physical phone sets reboot, and Jabber calls in progress will drop.
- For extensions that are call forwarded, there will be two 30-second to 1-minute interruptions in forwarding. Following the interruptions, the forwarding will be reestablished.
- Jabber users must sign out and back into Jabber to clear the connection after the maintenance has completed

Harvard VoIP Phone Maintenance February 23rd from 10pm until 5am February 24th
Dear HLS Faculty and Staff,
A firmware upgrade required to address a Cisco vulnerability will be installed on all Cisco VoIP phone sets starting at 10pm Thursday, February 23rd and ending by 5am on February 24th. The upgrade will take roughly 5-10 minutes per phone set and then the set will reboot. Calls in progress will be preserved, and the phone will reboot after the call is completed.

Jabber Softphone Maintenance January 10-11
Dear Faculty and Staff,
On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Harvard Phone maintenance will impact Jabber service.
During the maintenance window, there will be an estimated 10 minute window when users must sign out and back into Jabber to clear the connection. Also, some Jabber calls in progress may not be preserved and users must log in again to reconnect.
Please note that physical desk set phone service will not be affected.

New MacOS Ventura currently undergoing ITS certification
Dear HLS Faculty, Staff and Students,
Apple recently released MacOS Ventura 13.0. ITS is currently certifying this version of the Mac OS to work with standard HLS applications and policies and has restricted this upgrade on HLS Apple computers until the certification process is complete.
ITS also suggests that students do not upgrade their computers to MacOS Ventura 13.0 until ITS certifies it and verifies that it will work with software such as exam4 and clinical systems.

Systems Maintenance Notification: Planned Maintenance August 25-29
Dear Members of the HLS Community,
ITS will be performing system maintenance this week through early next week at the following times:
Thursday, August 25th from 10pm until 6am Friday, August 26th
Affected services: All network file shares
Saturday, August 27th from 8pm until 5am Sunday, August 28th
Affected services: Agresso (Helios) and Virtual Desktop (VDI)
Sunday, August 28th from 8pm until 5am Monday, August 29th
Affected services: Group ID (Ad Manager), Paper Cut, EMS, PFAIDS and SFS
Services may be intermittently unavailable during those times.
