Video Conferencing and A/V Technology Lending for Students
Access to video-conferencing rooms/booths, media studios, and ability to borrow a/v equipment at the Cabot Science Library.
Wireless Projection
Wireless projection allows the user to connect up to 4 simultaneous devices to the in-room display or projector without using any cables or wall plates. It allows for seamless wireless sharing of documents or images for users within the space. This service is available in specific locations on campus.
Assistive Listening Devices
ITS will provide audio and visual assistance to users with hearing and visual impairments.
Audio and Video Editing (Post Production)
An ITS technician will edit audio and video from both dedicated and automated non-class recordings.
Audio and Video Recording
ITS technicians will make curriculum and non-curriculum event recordings in supported areas around HLS.
Audio and Video Web Hosting
ITS can host and stream audio and video recordings from classes and events. Video can be streamed publicly or with restricted access, such as course websites.
Classroom Audio and Visual Services
ITS technicians will provide Audio and Visual support for classes taking place in select areas of the HLS Campus.
Video Conferencing – Computer Based
ITS can assist all faculty, staff, and students with video conferencing via their laptop or desktop computers through Zoom.
Event Audio and Visual Services
ITS technicians will provide a variety of audio and visual support for events, such as meetings, conferences, and seminars, taking place in select areas of the HLS Campus.
Events and Space Management
The Events and Space Management Service allows the HLS Community to view and book campus spaces for both academic and non-academic purposes. It provides information on the features, capacity and availability of each individual space, as well as a calendar of currently booked events. The service also allows users to request additional event-related services, such as audio/visual services, catering, publicity and special room set-ups.
Flipped Classroom Support
TLC can consult about delivery methods and creation of recorded content for “flipped classrooms.” These include screen capture, PowerPoint with audio track, “talking head,” and more.
Live Webcasting
ITS can stream the video and audio content of a live event over the web as it takes place.
Video Conferencing – Room Based
ITS will provide videoconferencing support for classes and events taking place in select areas of the HLS Campus.
