Retiring Exhibit Addenda
After almost 10 years, we are saying goodbye to the Exhibit Addenda website, which featured companion content for Historical & Special Collections’ physical exhibits, as well as online exhibits. It debuted in January 2015 and was retired in April 2024. Exhibit Addenda featured information about more than 30 exhibits Harvard Law School Library (HLSL) staff curated over the past 20 years.
Exhibits Get a New Home
Going forward, new exhibits will be featured on CURIOSity. CURIOSity is a Harvard Library platform for digital collections and narrative-driven online exhibits.
In preparation for the retirement of Exhibit Addenda, select past exhibits have also been migrated to CURIOSity. To date, Historical & Special Collections staff have migrated nine exhibits onto CURIOSity, with the help of Vanessa Venti and her colleagues on the Harvard Library UX and Discovery team.
Explore the New Exhibits Page
The new Harvard Law School Library exhibits page is your go-to for all things HLSL exhibits. The page highlights current exhibits, as well as select CURIOSity exhibits, and information about the retired Exhibit Addenda site.
Gone But Not Forgotten
Although not all previous exhibits were migrated to CURIOSity, this does not mean they were lost forever. You can view past versions of the Exhibit Addenda site via Archive-It (a web archiving service built at the Internet Archive). The archived Exhibit Addenda site was collected by the Harvard University Archives, as part of their collection of “A-Sites: Archived Harvard Websites.” The Exhibit Addenda site is also searchable via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine.
