STUDENT RESEARCH ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITY
The HLS Food Law and Policy Clinic (FLPC) at the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation of Harvard Law School is seeking a Research Assistant (RA) to support time-sensitive, responsive legal and policy work.

Hourly rate: $21
Expected hours per week: 6-12, may vary depending on the work
Expected dates: This opportunity is for the Spring 2026 semester and is expected to start as soon as possible. All work will be conducted remotely.

Project Description:
FLPC has been helping food and agriculture organizations navigate recent changes to food and farm policy by conducting real-time statutory and regulatory research on administrative actions, analyzing agency authority and scope of powers, tracking active litigation, evaluating legislative language, and creating practical legal resource materials for grassroots organizations.

The specific topics researched as part of this project will vary depending on our partners’ needs and will likely include extensive statutory, regulatory, and case law research.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct statutory and regulatory research on federal food and farm programs
  • Help create practical, accessible legal resources that translate the law for food and agricultural organizations working to maintain resilient food systems
  • Analyze policy changes and their real-world implications
  • Get hands-on experience with administrative law, regulatory analysis, and policy advocacy
