Michael Rodman has been named the News Officer at Harvard Law School, a key position in the Law School’s newly created Office of Communications. As News Officer, Rodman will serve as the school’s primary contact for the news media and assist in the development and execution of communications strategies for the Law School. Rodman is a 1999 graduate of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
“By recruiting Mike Rodman, we’ve managed to hire someone with media expertise, very strong writing skills, and an insider’s understanding of Harvard,” said Michael Armini, the Law School’s Director of Communications. “I look forward to teaming up with Mike and building a proactive and highly effective press operation for the Law School.”
Rodman comes to HLS from Capitol Hill where he served as a speechwriter and communications officer for Congressman Steny Hoyer, a senior Democrat from Maryland. Prior to his work in the U.S. Congress, Rodman taught at Concord Academy and worked for Tipper Gore in the White House.
In addition to earning a Master’s degree in Public Policy at the Kennedy School, Rodman is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where he was given the prestigious Shepley Award for leadership, scholarship and service to the community.
