Three Harvard Law School professors are featured among a group of 500 “leading lawyers,” according to a new list published in Law Dragon Magazine. Professors Lucian Bebchuk LL.M. ’80 S.J.D. ’84, Jack Goldsmith, and Elizabeth Warren join five additional law professors from other law schools on the list.
Each professor’s work was deemed influential in his or her field:
Bebchuk is an expert in corporate governance and has published prominent papers on executive compensation. Law Dragon recognized Goldsmith for his recent critiques of the Bush administration and his international law experience. Warren remains at the top of the bankruptcy law field, and her work on housing prices and other issues affecting two-income households was cited.
This is the third year Law Dragon has published the list, which features private attorneys from a wide range of practices, in-house counsel, law professors, judges, government attorneys, and public interest lawyers. Along with the three HLS professors, more than 10 percent of the 500 lawyers listed — a total of 58 — are Harvard Law graduates.
