Hugo Torres won the award for Best Oralist, and Brandon Miller secured the award for 6th Best Oralist. This year marked the seventh consecutive year that a team from Harvard Law School has won the regional competition and advanced to the international rounds.

Widely recognized as the most prestigious international law moot court competition in the world, the Jessup was co-founded by Harvard Law School in 1959. This year’s problem addressed the question of liability over nuclear maritime accidents and state responsibility over agents who exceed the authority granted to them by the state.
