In an opinion piece posted on July 22 in the ‘Boston Daily’ section of Boston Magazine online, HLS Professor Alan M. Dershowitz looks at the Whitey Bulger case, voicing his opinion that the government needs to focus its attention on Bulger’s relatives and closest acquaintances in trying to determine who may have facilitated his fugitive status.
An expert on criminal law, Dershowitz is the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at HLS. News reports that a grand jury has been convened to look into who may have facilitated Whitey Bulger’s long escape from justice are encouraging, but in order to get at the truth, the government will have to be more aggressive. Here is what I believe the government should do.
