Matthew Chakov will spend his fellowship year at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), where he will contribute to cutting-edge litigation at the intersection of privacy, technology, and civil liberties.

At Harvard Law School, Matt focused on national security and privacy law, completing substantial coursework in the field and serving as a Senior Online Editor for the Harvard National Security Journal. His legal experience includes internships at the Supreme Court of the United States, the White House, the Department of Defense, and Boies Schiller Flexner LLP.

Before law school, Matt worked at the Small Business Administration and at PwC. He earned his B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2020, with a minor in Law and Society.
