Marisa Skillings will represent individuals accused of misdemeanors and DUIs in proceedings at the Community Law Office of the Knoxville Public Defender.

During her time in law school, Marisa represented clients seeking parole before the Massachusetts Parole Board as a student attorney with the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance, where she served as the parole practice coordinator. As part of the Crimmigration Clinic, Marisa represented clients seeking relief from dangerous conditions in local county jails. Marisa spent her summers during law school at the Center for Family Representation and the New York County Defender Services, both in New York.

She graduated from the University of Hartford with a B.F.A. in Acting and worked for the New York Office of Child Support Services before entering law school.
