Emilie Montgomery will spend her fellowship year representing individuals sentenced to death in their post‐conviction proceedings at the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
During law school, Emilie was a clinical student in the Capital Punishment Clinic and the Criminal Justice Institute. She was also Executive Director the Prison Legal Assistant Project. Emilie spent her law school summers working at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center and at the Capital Habeas Unit in Philadelphia. She has a B.A. in Economics and Government & Legal Studies from Bowdoin College.
