Joe Meeker will spend his fellowship year at Bet Tzedek Legal Services as a member of their Employment Rights Project. In that role, he will advocate on behalf of low-wage and undocumented workers in wage theft and discrimination claims. During law school, Joe was a student attorney for the Tenant Advocacy Project, an Audio Content Editor and Executive Technical Editor for the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, a semifinalist and Best Oralist in the Ames Moot Court Competition, an Economics Teaching Fellow at Harvard College, and a member of the school’s best (and only) a cappella group, the Scales of Justice. Before law school, Joe worked at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families as a Budget and Policy Analyst, where he helped administer the state’s direct cash benefit program. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
