Drew Heckman is a recent graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D.) and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (M.P.P.). He was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and served as the Human Rights Campaign’s Nebraska Field Organizer from 2014-2015. During graduate school, he spent time at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the ACLU of Nebraska, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and in Boston City Councilor Michelle Wu’s office and re-election campaign. He’s excited to return to the Midwest to continue the fight for LGBTQ, racial, and immigrant justice at the National Immigrant Justice Center in Chicago with the support of a PSVF Redstone Fellowship.
