Carrie Milosevich will represent individuals sentenced to death in their state post-conviction proceedings at the Office of Capital and Forensic Writs in Austin, Texas. After completing her fellowship, Carrie will clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit during the 2022-23 term. During her time in law school, Carrie worked with the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Texas as part of the Capital Punishment Clinic and with the Roderick & Solange MacArthur Justice Center’s Supreme Court & Appellate Practice as part of the Criminal Justice Appellate Clinic. She also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and worked as a student attorney in the Crimmigration Clinic. Carrie spent her summers during law school at California’s Office of the State Public Defender, where she worked on capital appeals, and the ACLU of the District of Columbia, where she worked primarily on police misconduct cases. Carrie graduated from Georgetown University with an M.A. in Arab Studies and from Princeton University with an A.B. in Near Eastern Studies.
