Episode 4: Arlenie Oglesby

Arlenie Oglesby, FSS

In this episode Arlenie paints a picture of her life in the Philippines, being raised by the coolest military single-dad and surrounded by 3 brothers that she helped to take care of. She reminisces about a time when phone bills were collected at home and Philippine food.  She recounts her story on how she decided to go to work in Singapore when she was 25 years old.  The job was a 5 hour flight from her home town, which made her have to decide if she would leave her family behind for the first time.

Some fun facts about Arlenie:

-She loves the ambiance of Barcelona
-She’s surprisingly good at sewing
-During the pandemic she stitched curtains for her apartment
-She has always looked up to her dad
