Episode 23: Lilit Azizyan Part 1

Lilit Azizyan, Senior Business Analyst, ITS

Lilit was born in Armenia and lived there with her family until she was about to start high school. Her grandparents were survivors of the Armenian genocide in 1915, She tells Edgar about her early childhood, the school system and the Soviet Union influence in Armenia at that time. Lilit speaks Armenian and is proficient in Russian. When she came to US, she did not know English and had to study hard to keep up with the demands from a new school system. She reminisces about the lovely Armenian Community in LA where her family moved when they arrived in America. They talk about accents and some funny passages while learning English. She always was a dedicated student, and she was able to graduate high school after her junior year. She also learned some Spanish in the process.
