Archibald Cox (1912-2004) served on the Harvard Law School faculty from 1945 to 2004. He was a Visiting Lecturer on Law 1945-1946; Professor of Law 1946-1958; Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law 1947; Royall Professor of Law 1958-1961; Williston Professor of Law 1965-1976; Carl. M. Loeb University Professor 1976-1984; and an Emeritus professor 1984-2004.  

Research: Torts, administrative law, constitutional law, labor law.
