The Role of Courts in Tackling Democratic Backsliding with Dr. Marko Bošnjak, President of the European Court of Human Rights

The Harvard European Law Association and the Harvard Human Rights Journal are excited to welcome Dr. Marko Bošnjak, President of the European Court of Human Rights, to campus on Monday, March 10th. President Bošnjak’s lecture will focus on the role of courts – particularly the European Court of Human Rights – in addressing democratic backsliding, especially the deterioration of the rule of law. President Bošnjak will examine the European Court’s role in protecting domestic judiciaries from attacks they frequently face.
