As you begin to gear up for EIP, learn the unspoken rules of the legal profession, including how to successfully network, then mingle with attorneys at OCS’s largest employer reception of the year.  

Part One: Presentation on the Unspoken Rules of Professional Success with Gorick Ng

Professional success depends on more than just your legal work product. In his presentation, Gorick Ng explains how to navigate expectations with tips from his Wall Street Journal Bestselling book, The Unspoken Rules: Secrets to Starting Your Career Off Right. Gorick will demystify the unspoken “code” of professional success and provide concrete steps for making a favorable impression throughout the recruitment process and on-the-job. 

Part Two: Networking Reception with Attorneys from EIP Firms

Immediately after the presentation, put what you have learned into action at a fun and festive reception with attorneys from law firms around the country who participate in EIP. Practice mingling and engage in networking in a low-stakes professional setting. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served, along with wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
