Join Dr. Jennifer Wiseman Ph.D. ’95, Director Emeritus of the AAAS Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion, and Senior Astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center for an evening exploring the incredible universe being unveiled by modern telescopes, revealing over 200 billion galaxies, each teeming with stars, colorful nebulae, and presumably planets. The universe is also active and mysterious, with new stars and planetary systems continually forming with a backdrop of mysterious black holes, dark matter and dark energy. Dr. Wiseman will share many of these amazing astronomical discoveries and images, with an eye toward how the universe provides incredible inspiration and also fosters reflection on faith, life, and human purpose. Registration is required, please register here in advance. A reception will follow the talk.
