In a climate of digital threat and harassment, both student and professional advocates in a variety of fields have been experiencing the chilling effects of doxing, stalking, harassment, violence, and pervasive threats thereof. In this hands-on workshop, experts in civil rights law and cybersecurity will use the Protect Your People manual developed by HLS’s LGBTQ+ Advocacy Clinic to empower students to expand individual and organizational capacity to speak out and advocate for the causes they believe in while protecting themselves from digital and online-to-offline threat, safeguarding their digital spaces, and building a culture of digital mutual aid around security culture.
