Danny David J.D.’00
Danny David is Managing Partner of Baker Botts L.L.P. The youngest Managing Partner in the firm’s modern history, Danny leads the firm’s Executive Committee, guiding the strategic direction and growth of the firm. In addition to leading the firm, Danny maintains an active practice, representing companies and their officers and directors in securities class actions, fiduciary duty lawsuits, shareholder demands, and suits challenging mergers. Prior to becoming Managing Partner, Danny served as Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department from 2019-2023, and prior to that, led the firm’s Shareholder and Securities Litigation Practice. Danny is actively involved in community service, serving on the executive committee of the Greater Houston Partnership and Hermann Park Conservancy and the board of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Danny received his law degree magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2000 and his A.B in Politics summa cum laude from Princeton University in 1997.
