Harvard Law School Library Historical & Special Collections is pleased to announce a new exhibit, Educator, Advocate, Scholar, Leader: Selections from the Charles J. Ogletree, Jr. papers, will be on view in the Caspersen Room, 4th floor, Langdell Hall from Sept. 2, 2025 through July 2026.

The exhibit celebrates the career, leadership, and impact of late Harvard Law School alumnus and beloved Professor Charles J. Ogletree, Jr. (1952-2023) by showcasing materials from his papers that document his work at HLS and beyond.

The exhibit is on view weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Caspersen Room, 4th floor, Langdell Hall (access with Harvard ID) through July 31, 2026.

Since late 2022, Historical & Special Collections staff have worked to process and digitize the Ogletree papers for open access. Learn more about Historical & Special Collections’ approach to making the Ogletree papers available
You may access and explore all digitized material from the collection through the Ogletree papers finding aid, which is being updated with new content on a rolling basis through early 2026.
