What Happens in a Consultation

  1. You schedule an appointment at https://hls.mywconline.com.
  2. You submit your writing: anything you’ve done so far, even if it’s just messy notes or a rough draft.
  3. We send back written comments and an agenda for a conversation about your paper.
  4. We meet to discuss the paper: this is where the magic happens and ideas are strengthened in conversation.
  5. You move the paper along to the next step in the writing process: come see us again if we can be helpful.

We require 24 hours for papers up to 25 pages, 48 hours for papers up to 50 pages, and 72 hours for papers longer than 50 pages.

Sessions conventionally run for 25 or 50 minute increments.
