Recipients of Public Service Venture Fund support are eligible for LIPP and their fellowship amount will be considered their base salary when calculating LIPP benefits for the length of time the Venture Fund fellowship is awarded. This assumed salary will also apply to “seed grant” recipients for the length of time covered by the Venture Fund. After completion of the Venture Fund fellowship, the graduate’s actual income will be used to determine LIPP benefits; for self-employed graduates the standard LIPP rules regarding business ownership and self employment will apply after completion of the Venture Fund fellowship.
