Caitlin Cuccia
Low Income Protection Plan and Public Interest Funding Officer
Caitlin previously worked as a Student Financial Services Coordinator at HLS and in admissions and financial aid at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Caitlin earned a B.S. in journalism from Emerson College. In her free time she enjoys photography, reading, and travel.
Tony Curcio
Associate Director of Student Financial Services
Tony returned to our office in 2000 after working for two years in the financial aid office at Harvard Medical School. He has had an ongoing affiliation with the HLS Student Financial Services office since 1990 when he began working here as a student intern. As Associate Director, Tony oversees the day to day operation of the JD Financial Aid Program, maintaining the quality and fairness of both the application and awarding processes and overseeing the technological needs of the office. He earned a BA in Economics from Harvard College and an MA in Education from Tufts, and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, cross-country skiing and bicycling.
Nicole Githens
Low Income Protection Plan and Public Interest Funding Coordinator
Nicole previously worked in development at Boston Children’s Hospital Trust and joined the Student Financial Services office at Harvard Law School in 2023. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Marquette University. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, reading and attending sporting events.
Katy Harger
Assistant Director for the Low Income Protection Plan and Public Interest Funding
Katy joined Harvard Law School in 2018. She previously worked in the Student Financial Services Office at Northeastern University as well as the Enrollment Management Office as a Budget Analyst. Katy earned her B.A. in journalism and her M.B.A from Northeastern University. In her free time she enjoys live music, attending any live sporting event, traveling and cooking.
Tiffany Lam
Student Financial Services Coordinator
Tiffany is responsible for the financial clearance process and general administrative support of various Student Financial Services functions. She has previously worked in the hospitality industry after earning her B.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In her free time, she enjoys working on craft projects, traveling, and photography.
Kara Martin
Associate Director for the Low Income Protection Plan and Public Interest Funding
Kara previously worked in financial aid at Tufts University School of Medicine and at Rosemont College. She earned her B.A. in history from Allegheny College, her M.B.A. from Rosemont College, and her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and traveling.
Jimmy McCarron
Financial Aid Officer
Jimmy counsels students with last names “C” through “M”. Before joining HLS, he worked in undergraduate financial aid and enrollment management at Boston College. Jimmy earned his BA in Political Science from Loyola University Maryland and his Master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs from Boston College. In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys reading, skiing, traveling, and attending sporting events.
Natasha Onken
Assistant Dean for Student Financial Services
Natasha joined the Student Financial Services office in 2003 after working in financial aid and student employment at the University of Massachusetts, Boston for several years. In her free time, Natasha plays soccer, travels, and tries to attend as many local shows as possible. Natasha earned her B.A. from Grinnell College.
Henry Rea
Associate Director for Program Development and External Relations
Henry joined Harvard Law School in 2023, previously having worked in undergraduate financial aid at MIT and Boston University. He earned his B.A. in English from Tufts University and is a classical singer and avid reader in his spare time. At HLS, Henry counsels students with last names “A” and “B,” and is the primary point person in SFS for communications, engagement initiatives, and financial education.
Alex Simon
Student Financial Services Coordinator
Alex is responsible for the financial clearance process and general administrative support of various Student Financial Services functions. Alex previously worked in the Financial Aid Office at SUNY Oneonta. She earned her B.S. in Business Economics at SUNY Oneonta. In her free time, she enjoys painting, traveling, and volunteers with a nonprofit organization, Yuntos, to help the local community through various projects.
Michelle Woods
Assistant Director for Financial Aid Operations and Systems
Michelle assists with all of the technical needs of the office as well as counsels students with last names “N” through “Z”. She has worked in SFS at HLS since 2013, after previously working in SFS at the Harvard Extension School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Hartford and her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2011. From 2012-2017, Michelle volunteered on the Samaritans Suicide Helpline in Boston, where she answered phone calls, online chat, and text messages. Now she spends her free time with her family, mostly exploring the outdoors together.
