Sarah Blair will spend her fellowship year at Uptown People’s Law Center (UPLC) in Chicago, providing direct services to female prisoners and ensuring that their needs are addressed in UPLC’s ongoing and future impact litigation. While at HLS, Sarah was a clinical extern at the Youth Advocacy Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services through the Child Advocacy Project, and at the Phillips Black Project through the Capital Punishment Clinic. She also participated in the Prison Legal Assistance Project and served on the board of the Tenant Advocacy Project. Sarah spent her 1L summer at Prisoners’ Legal Services of Massachusetts and her 2L summer at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia. Sarah received her undergraduate degree from Boston University in 2014, and worked at the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation and Equal Justice Coalition for two years prior to law school.
