International Justice Resource Center (IRJC)
San Francisco, CA
Sarah Abraham has been awarded a PSVF to work with the International Justice Resource Center (IJRC) in San Francisco, CA. Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied Political Science and International Relations. At Harvard Law, she remained engaged with these subjects through the practice areas of human rights and international law. As a student practitioner in this field, Sarah had the opportunity to work with Syrian Refugees in Jordan; advance cases for asylum seekers in the United States; work with offshore fishing communities affected by oil in Ghana; and advocate a weapons ban at the United Nations in Geneva.
Sarah will continue her work in International Human Rights Law as a fellow at IJRC. The organization engages grassroots advocates, operates as a comprehensive resource tool through online legal resources as well as training programs, and offers direct services to individuals affected by human rights abuses. The organization also has observer status with the United Nations body, ECOSOC, and participates in their human rights mechanisms. Sarah will have the opportunity to participate in the wide breadth of IJRC’s legal and advocacy work, reaching systematic human rights abuses globally and individuals in the United States who are seeking relief.
