International Service for Human Rights (ISHR)

Vrinda has been awarded the Judge Irving K. Kaufman Fellowship to undertake a year of public interest work with the International Service for Human Rights. She will support ISHR’s global advocacy and strategic litigation to advance the rights of human rights defenders.

Vrinda graduated at the top of her class at National Law University, Delhi in 2019 and joined a law firm in London thereafter, maintaining pro bono work as a vital part of her practice.

At HLS, Vrinda worked with the International Human Rights Clinic (earning a prize for outstanding performance) and with HLS Advocates for Human Rights. She also organized a discussion with Justice Indu Malhotra (a former justice of the Supreme Court of India) on her landmark constitutional law decisions.

Vrinda’s areas of interest include international human rights law and women’s rights.
