Youth Advocacy Division

Lisa will work as a staff attorney in the Youth Advocacy Division of the Massachusetts statewide network of public defenders. She will provide legal representation to youth in delinquency and youthful offender proceedings. After completing her Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver, Lisa worked for many years in areas of family therapy and with youth experiencing a combination of substance abuse, mental health, and family issues. During law school, she interned at the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts and worked as a student attorney at Harvard’s Criminal Justice Institute, the Prison Legal Assistance Project, and the Immigration Project. She also spent a summer interning at the Racial Justice Program of the ACLU, where she worked on the litigation team for a case challenging the practices of the NYPD in public schools. She has served as the President of Student Government at HLS.
