Joshua Freitag will be a Public Service Venture Fellow at Phillips Black, a public interest nonprofit law practice, where he will represent incarcerated individuals in post-conviction proceedings, as well as research and develop best practices for creating a sustainable and ethical model of nonprofit civil rights litigation on behalf of indigent clients harmed by the criminal legal system. At Harvard Law School, Josh was involved with Harvard Defenders, the Criminal Justice Institute Clinic, the Capital Punishment Clinic, and the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. He completed his first year of law school at Boston University School of Law.
Prior to law school, Josh graduated from Dartmouth College where he studied Quantitative Social Science, Public Policy, and Spanish.
